I write this on the eve of my departure for Portland, on the cusp of a weekend full of excitement and thrills. For this weekend will not only be Casey's 19th birthday and my cousin's wedding, but it will also be--wait for it...the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!!! I only pray that the bookstore in Portland will have a spare copy left for moi at midnight, for I do not have a copy reserved there. (Wherever "there" may be; I have yet to determine whether Powell's bookstore or the B&N at Lloyd Center would be a more practical choice for this epic moment.) Though I am worried I might not get to really dig into HBP 'til the drive back to Seattle on Sunday, seeing as Andy thoughtlessly scheduled his wedding for the day immediately following its release. I somehow think people would notice if I was reading it during the ceremony. And it definitely won't fit in my tiny formal purse. Erlack. Life is fraught with misery, isn't it?
Either way. I am so so so so so excited!
PS Alissa, you better not read the last page first! It's for your own good.
PPS Casey, HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY!!!
PPPS Yaz, you suck! You never called me back.
Post-edit: It has come to my attention that this is my 200th post. Yay! Let's have a moment of silence, please, to commemorate all the hours I've wasted on the glorious, entrancing monstrosity that we fondly know as LiveJournal.
